The Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books.
If I could physically put myself into a series, I would definitely choose Vampire Academy. I am in love with that series and I would love to go to a school like that. It also wouldn't hurt if I went in there as a vampire or dhamphir. ;)
Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee! =)
This weeks question:
Q. Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100factsaboutme, give us five BOOK RELATED silly facts about you.
1. I cannot read more than one book at a time or I will go crazy.
2. I buy too many books!
3. I have many, many book boyfriends. ;)
4. I have a kindle but I don't really read anything on it because I like holding the actual book in my hand.
5. I used to hate reading until I was 12 and I read the Percy Jackson series. Then I got hooked and my mom was so happy that she took me to the book store and bought me--no joke-- about $200 worth of books. She looooves to read so she was so excited when I discovered that I liked to!
Please leave a comment if you are a new follower, so I can check out your blog and follow you in return! =)
That is great! I wish someone would give me $200 worth of books! I'm a new follower! My FF is at Coffee Table Press

ReplyDeleteHey there! New follower here!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness!!! Another person out there who prefers print books! I thought we were becoming extinct! lol I have a Kindle too, but rarely use it.
I've tried to read more than one book at a time and failed miserably! I obviously can't multi-read!

ReplyDeleteHi! Hopping over on Parajunkee's Follow Friday blog hop. Loved your answers. I rediscovered reading when my kids were doing one of the summer reading programs at the library -- a Medieval theme. I've been hooked ever since.

It was Harry Potter that turned my "if I have to" reader into a "what can I read now?" reader of a daughter!

Hi Bailey! I loved every single one of your answers!
ReplyDeleteI started reading much earlier, though! My mom read like a fiend!
I would pick up her romance novels (JoAnna Lindsey was the first) when I was around 9 or 10 and read them.
What an education for that age, let me tell you. I didn't understand a lot of what I was reading but I loved the adventures, the history, the clothes, etc..
I haven't stopped reading since!
Stop by and see me!!

Hiya, new follower stopping by for the Friday Follow blog hop :-) Love what you've done with the design here, btw! :-) LOL I especially liked your point about not being able to read more than one book at a time or you'll go crazy ;-) I'm glad that you've been turned on to reading and that you have such a supportive Mum! :-)

Awesome Mom!!
ReplyDeleteHi, just hopping on through. I only read one book at a time too otherwise I get distracted trying to remember where the story was last time. I love my kindle, just can't get excited about the average mass produced paperback. Now old leatherbound books are a different story!
ReplyDeleteHI here from the hop. I just love you're blog the layout is so cute. I was also looking through your post I love your review on The Ghost and The Goth. It's one of my favorite books, can't wait for the sequel!
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a popular answer! (vampire diaries)... haven't read it, but it may have to jump into my TBR pile!

Apologies in advance for my answer this week as it will not immediately resonate with the book blogger population which happens to be 99.5% female.
ReplyDeleteMy choice is a book series geared towards guys which won’t enthrall the vast majority of my fellow book bloggers (who are almost entirely female) with the extensive discussion of powerful weapons and sexy milspec gear, beautiful women, eye-popping action sequences (with occasionally obscene violence), and the like.
But there IS something in my answer that just about everyone of the female persuasion can benefit from my decidedly “books for guys” post. Hop on over to http://www.howardsherman.net to find out what it is.
Happy Hop Friday!

More vampires...LOL!!! Good answer.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fun hop.
My answer has three choices...stop by if you like.

Cool blog! I'm going to love following this one.
ReplyDeleteVampire Academy was my second choice. I finally decided on The Witch Wars by Andrea Cremer. Such an awesome series.
I totally agree about the eReader versus holding the physical book in your hand. There is no comparison. That said ... I actually have a Nook. I'll admit I love it more than I thought, but I'm still buying more books than ebooks.
I can relate with your list! I have just started branching out and reading a few books at a time. Not really working for me. I stay confused! Haha! But I get so excited when there is a new release, I put one down and pick up another. Wow! I am your newest follower! Come check my blog out if you have time!
