I left the day before her signing so that sucked but I still got a signed book! =)

My Review:
I am so in love with this series! Each book just keeps getting better! If you thought things couldn't get any worse for Dru, think again. I feel so bad for all that Dru has been through. What with her mom murdered, her dad turned into a zombie and killed, and Dru on the run for her life. Dru is so strong and manages to hold it all together, though she breaks a little in this book.

The comic relief of this book is definitely her bodyguards, especially Benjamin! He's a bit of a shopping snob *giggles*. Also, Anna's nickname. The Red Queen. Perfect for her! She is so mean and evil and such a bitch to everyone around her, especially Dru. If I was Dru, I would have told her off in Betrayals, not waited this long. I can understand why Dru wouldn't before though! I mean, she is Head of the Order and really scary (and crazy). I was so happy with the relationship development in this book, with both Graves AND Christophe. *sigh* Can I have both, please?? I have to admit though, I was a total Christophe fan before this book and I now I am torn between Christophe and Graves!! I don't know how Dru is going to decide. =(

I couldn't put this book down until I finished it. So much happens in this book. Relationships get stronger, we find out who's been the traitor all along, and the ending is so heartbreaking. I desperately need spring to be here so I can read Defiance!

My Bookshelves

I have two bookcases, though I really need three. In the first picture, the books at the top of the shelf are part of my TBR pile. Yes, I said part of. The other TBR books can be found on various places on my shelves. The right side of the bottom of my bookshelf is also a part of my TBR pile. I have a book addiction in that I keep adding books to the pile when I can only read so fast! And yes, there are books behind those books in the front in the first picture. I have a lot of books. Under my bed in boxes, in the closet, and in rooms all over the house! The first shelf I actually recently bought because I needed more shelves! The second shelf was built by my dad years ago and can only hold so many books! I love each and every one of the books on my shelves and the few books that I don't like are either shoved in places never to be seen again or donated to the library. =)

I cannot wait for this book to be released! I loved the first book so much that I had to read the whole book before I put it down. I love and look forward to more of Patch, with his hotness and one liner's. I wish October would come faster so I could spend time with Nora and Patch again!! =)

My Review:
I thought this was a good book! To my knowledge, there really hasn't been many, if any, tellings of sirens in YA and that made this book unique. I loved Vanessa's voice. I find that in YA, a lot of heroine's can be annoying and whiny *cough* Bella *cough* but that wasn't at all the case with Vanessa. The story revolves around Vanessa trying to find out what really caused her sisters death, and the deaths of many men in the small little town. Simon is there to help her along the way.
Onto the romance part, I felt that Simon and Vanessa's relationship could have been more developed. I didn't really understand what drew them together, other than that they had known each other their entire lives. There wasn't much chemistry. Their love just didn't seem real to me. That being said, mystery wise there were many twists and turns in this book that kept me guessing until the very end and I still had unanswered questions when the story was done. Also, I have to say, I was so not a fan of Zara. There were times when I wished I could be Vanessa for a second and give Zara a piece of my mind!
Overall, I thought this was a unique story and I definitely would buy the sequel, if there is one. I give this book 4 stars! =)

My Review:
In this original take on werewolves, Sam transforms into a wolf in the coldest parts of the winter and turns human when the months become hot. He is in love with Grace whom he has watched from afar ever since he saved her from other members of his pack 6 years before. Grace has been attached to the unique yellow-eyed wolf who saved her. Their first meeting with Sam as a human is when she finds him on her deck, shot and she helps him. When she sees his unique yellow eyes she doesn't know how its possible but has no doubts that he is her wolf.

I absolutely loved this book! I was relieved that the author didn't drag Grace's discovery of Sam being her wolf farther in the book. It is frustrating when it takes almost the whole book before the heroine discovers the heros secret. Grace's early discover advanced the plot and made the story an enjoyable read. I also loved how the story is told from both Sam and Grace's perspectives. The reader gets to know each of them and really understand their motives. I am in love with Sam! He is such a genuine guy and so sweet to Grace. Their love is so unique because it is so deep and pure and one of the best love stories in YA. I wish I could have my own Sam!

This is one of my favorite reads of all time and I can't wait until I can read Linger. I give this story 5 stars! =)

Hello World!

Hello to everyone reading this out there! My name is Bailey and I thought it was about time that I created my own book blog! I am obsessed with books and reading and I have always enjoyed reading other book blogs. I discover so many new books that are coming out and I enjoy reading others reviews of books. I can't even buy a book without first reading many reviews of it. I want to contribute to the book blogging community by getting the word out about good books that people should grab immediately and books to stay away from! I hope you have fun reading through my blog! =)

A little bit about me: I am a busy 16 year old IB student going into my junior year. I find time to read whenever possible. I always zoom through my homework so I can have time to read at home! Weekends are a blessing for me because that is my only time to breathe and have time to relax! I love all YA books with romance and also enjoy adult paranormal romance books. I am so excited to be starting this book blog and look forward to meeting others who enjoy reading as much as I do. =)

About Me

My name is Bailey and I have been an avid reader since the age of 12. You would probably be surprised to know that I really didn't like reading up until then. My mom always encouraged me to read but being my stubborn self, I refused multiple times. Then, one day at a scholastic book fair in 5th grade I spotted The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan. I love mythology so I decided to buy it. Once I started reading it, I was hooked! I remember going to the bookstore that next day with my mom. She was sooo happy that I was finally loved reading that she bought me, no joke, probably 40 books. Ever since then, I have been reading every book that I could get my hands on!

About my personal life: I am a 17-year-old senior in high school in the IB Program. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is the International Baccalaureate program and it is a worldwide curriculum, kinda like AP. We IB students call it AP on steroids. ;) Anyways, IB consumes a majority of my life but I still find the time to read and blog. Honestly, blogging has become an essential part of my life and I can't see stopping it anytime soon. =) My family is also very important to me. My mom and dad are huge supporters of my blog and I love them so much. =) I also have 4 miniature pinschers who mean the world to me.
