Character This or That List: Rowena from Always a Witch

Today Rowena from Carolyn MacCullough's Once a Witch and Always a Witch is sharing her this or that list.

Hot or Cold? Cold (She is something of an Ice Princess after all)

Vanilla or Chocolate? Chocolate

Harry Potter or Twilight? Twilight

YA or Adult novels? Adult novels

Sour candy or chocolate? Chocolate.  Very dark chocolate.  High cocoa content.

Early or late? Late (she never minds keeping anyone waiting)

Coffee or Tea? Tea.  Preferably Earl Grey with nothing in it.  She’s a purist.

Half-full or Half-empty? Half full always.  Life is good to Rowena (until it isn’t)

Literary crush or real life crush? Her literary crush would be have to be Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.  (Rowena is a bit of a traditionalist).

Matt Damon or Josh Duhamel? Matt Damon.  Especially from The Bourne Identity.  She thinks his character almost seems to have a Talent there.

Movie or TV show?  She loves old movies.  1940’s Noir.

Angel or Buffy?  Buffy!

Always a Witch by Carolyn MacCullough
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

The adventures of Tam and Gabriel continue with more time travel, Talents, spy work, and of course, the evil Knights.

Since the gripping conclusion of Once A Witch, Tamsin Greene has been haunted by her grandmother's prophecy that she will soon be forced to make a crucial decision—one so terrible that it could harm her family forever. When she discovers that her enemy, Alistair Knight, went back in time to Victorian-era New York in order to destroy her family, Tamsin is forced to follow him into the past. Stranded all alone in the nineteenth century, Tamsin soon finds herself disguised as a lady's maid in the terrifying mansion of the evil Knight family, avoiding the watchful eye of the vicious matron, La Spider, and fending off the advances of Liam Knight. As time runs out, both families square off in a thrilling display of magic. And to her horror, Tamsin finally understands the nature of her fateful choice.

  1. Matt Damon as Jason Bourne all the way! I think even the husband has a bit of a man crush on him in those movies:) I have this one next up on my list and am really looking forward to it!

  3. Yes! Buffy every time.

Looks like me and Rowena have a lot in common. I love chocolate and Matt Damon circa The Bourne Identity!

  4. Love the This or That with characters. So cool that authors know their characters so well. I'm not sure about the Earl Grey with nothing in it, though. I definitely need some honey in it. :)
